I like to use low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) water based paints.  VOC chemicals can be harmful, especially to children and pets in the home.

I also choose cruelty-free paints that do not contain any animal derived ingredients.

It is possible to select 100% VOC free natural paints and whilst this comes at an additional cost it may put your mind at rest to use such products.

I also, (unlike many painters), reuse brushes and kit in order to reduce landfill waste and reduce your costs. I recycle paint cans and other materials as appropriate and am happy to do this free of charge on completion of the project.
